Day 1 – God is Real – Parable of the Seeds

  1. What does it mean to “sow” seeds? (To plant seeds.)
  2. How many kinds of soil did the seeds land on? (Four.)
  3. What kind of soil was there? (The road, the rocky soil, the soil with lots of weeds, and the good soil.)
  4. What did Jesus say each soil represented? (The road was like people who refuse to listen to Jesus.  The rocky soil is like people who just get excited about God’s word for a little while.  The soil with weeds is like people who let other things get in the way or distract them from God’s Word (Jesus).  The good soil is like the people who hear God’s Word and trust Jesus.)
  5. Did Jesus really tell that story?  How do we know?  (Yes!  He talked to that big crowd in person!  Jesus’ friends wrote down the story for us to read today!)

Day 2 – God is Strong – Creation

  1. How strong is God? (Answers may vary.)
  2. What did God make on the first day?  (Space!  He separated light from dark.)
  3. What did God make on the second day? (Water in the sky and water on the earth.)
  4. What did God make on the third day? (Dry land, dirt, plants, trees.)
  5. What did God make on the fourth day? (Planets, sun, moon, stars.)
  6. What did God make on the fifth day? (Fish and birds.)
  7. What did God make on the sixth day? (People and animals.)
  8. What did God do on the seventh day?  (He rested.)

Day 3 – God made You – Samuel

  1. What does Samuel’s name mean?  (Asked of God.)
  2. Where did Samuel live? (With Eli, at the church.)
  3. Whose voice was waking up Samuel? (God’s.)
  4. How many times did Samuel hear the voice?  (Fourtimes.)
  5. Why was Samuel dedicated to God? (Because his mother prayed for a son and promised to dedicate him to work for God.)

 

Day 4 –  You are Special – Sermon on the Mount

  1. What three things did Jesus compare people to? (Sparrows, Ravens, and Lilies)
  2. What special thing did Jesus say that God knows about you? (He knows how many hairs we have on our heads!)
  3. How much did sparrows cost in Jesus’ time? (5 for 2 pennies!)
  4. Where is Kody? (I don’t know!)
  5. Why did Jesus tell the crowd about the birds and the flowers? (He was showing them that God loves the small things a whole lot, but thinks you are even more special!)

 

 Day 5 – God Loves You – Zacchaeus 

  1. What did Zacchaeus do for a living?  (He was a tax collector.)
  2. Why did Zacchaeus climb a tree? (He was too short to see Jesus in the crowd.)
  3. Why were people upset at Jesus for going to Zacchaeus’ house?  (Because they didn’t think Jesus should spend time with the bad guy.)
  4. How does God show his love for us? (He sent Jesus to save us.)
  5. How do we let Jesus into our hearts?  (We ask forgiveness from our mistakes and believe that Jesus died and rose again in order to pay the penalty the bad stuff we have done.  Then we just have to invite Him!)
